Kodak Moments

Today was a beautiful day out so Michael and Trent decided they were going to do some work in the backyard, landscaping and such. I keep telling him that you cant landscape a yard with two dogs in the backyard.

The morning started out with my opening up the front door to see that my dog, Sugar, was on the front porch. Michael headed out to the back to find where she had gotten out under the fence and about a half an hour later, I saw Trent at the front door and he opened it up and here comes Michael leading Sugar back to the house. He told me that Glacier had gotten out as well. Trent took Sugar to the back and let her out and he had no sooner gotten back to the front door when I saw a flash of black and there goes Sugar running past the front of the house. I knew immediately that Trent didnt check to see where she got out because she had gotten out so fast. I went outside and I saw Michael with Sugar and I went over to her to put a leash on her when I looked up and saw Glacier barrelling down the sidewalk. Needless to say, I nearly got knocked over.

Later, when Trent and Michael were working in the backyard, Glacier was having a fit because he was tied up. Sugar was tied up but being very "ladylike" about it. Trent went over to appease Glacier and I decided it was a great time to get some shots of Trent with the dog. Well at one point Trent was kneeling down next to Glacier (who was actually behaving) and they were both looking at the camera. Well right when I snapped the picture, t

he dog moved in a way that knocked Trent over. This is what I got for a kodak moment: please keep in mind that this was totally unplanned!!

I was also able to take some shots of Brandon with Glacier, but first, meet Glacier, my fun loving Siberian Husky! Oh, and Trent too!

Oh look! He posed! And of course I had to get in there too and I also posed with Sugar, my Border Retriever (half border collie half golden retriever) She is my sweetie!

Catching up

Ok so its been awhile since I actually got to really post things on here. I have been so busy with school and work. I am very excited that I found a job for this summer. It turns out that the college is looking for custodial help for the summer and I was able to apply and get the job. Of course my best friend, Jennifer applied as well and she also got on. The job pays 8.00 an hour and its a 40 hour a week job. This is an answered prayer.

I have been studying about tithe and how tithing is not only something the God commands, but its also a show of faith. I have been tithing the little bit of a paycheck that I get. I know that since my paycheck is so little, it seems like alot, but I have been praying that God will meet my needs, such as enough funds to pay the cell phone and stuff. Well yesterday, I got the job. I start in May. That is a major answer to prayer. Not only is this showing me, but I have more faith now that God will give me and Michael the baby that we want so badly. In the meantime, I am doing what I can to educate myself about my own health.

On a funny note, what happens when your stepson puts the cat on Michael when he is leaning over looking at something with the tv/dvd? You get this: That is one comfy cat!

I am back!!!

Hello! So sorry that it has been so long since I last posted. Ok so you need an update. Well it may take awhile so go grab a cup of java or whatever it is you like and get comfortable.

My dear, sweet, husband surprised me with a trip to Mesquite, Nevada for my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Not only did we have a great time but it provided some much needed R and R that I NEEDED!!! I dont gamble, but Michael sees no harm in putting a few dollars in the penny slots (yes even a few dollars made me look pained) but he managed to actually win the jackpot (trust me, that isnt much on a penny machine). We also were able to go to Las Vegas, where we had the opportunity to go see the Phantom of the Opera. It was wonderful! I must say that I have a new appreciation for the theatre.

Saturday morning Michael and I headed back to Junction but not before we got to have a visit with my cousin Riley! It was so good to see him and talk with him before Michael and I had to head back. I have included a few pictures of our visit.

This is the fountain outside of the Casablanca Hotel/Casino. It was absolutely gorgeous at night when all lit up. Of course they turn it off at a certain time so each time we went to get a night picture of it, it was turned off! We also saw ducks at this pond too.

See? told ya!

It was really great to be able to visit with Riley as we dont get to see family too often unless its Michaels but they live really close so with them its not hard.

Michael did get a little goofy as he had to play show off!

yes, we had a good time. I wish we could have visited longer.

We sadly said goodebye and Michael and I headed back to Grand Junction and my reminiscings would not be complete without this really cool picture: have you ever seen a gyser in Utah? I havent either.
