Arent Sundays just great!

Ok so today was Sunday. It was a little different than normal. Brandon had to be at work at 6 which means I had to get up earlier than the sun in order to get him there. I went back to bed after dropping him off and ended up waking up at exactly 9:11. I had just enough time to get up, dressed, and off to church this morning. Jennifer and I made it just in time. The Patch the Pirate club PeeWee group was doing a mini program. They 'sang' the Gideon song even though it was really Pastor Turner and Ms. Simpson singing it while the little ones just marched up the center aisle. It was so cute! They all had pitchers in their left hands and noismakers (trumpets) in their right hands. When the song was sung "pitchers in his left had, trumpet in his right" all the little ones would raise their pitcher when they heard pitcher and trumpet when they heard trumpet. Little Baillie, the pastor's daughter, had her pitcher upside down.

The message was excellent! We were in the book of Nehemiah. The message was about stepping out on faith.

After the service, a few of us got a little happy with our digital cameras. I was looking for some traditional photos of the building and I wanted to get a good one of myself since I am always taking the pictures and no one ever sees me. Mike Brown had his camera there and it was quite funny watching something that his camera would do. His camera has a feature allowing him to set the timer and the camera would snap three pictures within a few seconds of each other. He managed to take a few series of pictures that came out like a flip book! One set was of himself behind the pulpit "preaching". He would raise his arm, point, raise his Bible, you name it! Well watching the outcome was hilareous! He also did one of me sitting at the piano and the outcome looked as though I was playing the piano. I can play a little but its more of a tinker than actual playing.

Here are a few of the other ones I got: this one is of me (duh) sitting at the piano. Its one of my better pictures. I love hearing the piano being played during the services. One of my favorites that is played and the choir sings to is an arrangement of Canon in D but the words focus on "Praise the Lord" It is really beautiful.
This one is a picture of our church auditorium. I only got the front part instead of the whole back part. I do have some pictures of my pastor and his wife and daughters but I have not posted them on here due to my not having permission to do so, but if you would like to "meet" them, just go to www.libertyministriesgj.com. Then you can see a gorgeous view of the outside of the building!
Well that is all for Sunday. Until next time!

Five Days by myself

Ok Michael left for Albuquerque, New Mexico this morning and he wont be back till Wednesday night. He is going for his yearly national bowling tournament. I tend to be on pins and needles with his being gone. I know the Lord will keep him safe.

Today was pretty uneventful for the most part. I checked my schedule for work and found that I only work one day next week again. That is getting to be a trend. Lucky for me, I have an awesome husband who has connections and I am going to see about working at McDonalds (not his store) a few days a week so that way I can get a few more dollars in there.

My friend Sharon gave me a little kitty "gym" thing today. I brought it home and introduced Mittens to it. He sniffed around checking out all of the kitty scents on it. Here are a few pictures of him 'getting aquainted'.

He just sniffed around it at first and climbed in and moseyed around.

Then Skittles decided to come check it out and from what you can see, she got aquainted as well. It was when both kitties found each other that things got funny.

Never a dull moment with these two.

Well it is quite late, and I have to get Brandon to work tomorrow morning at 6 (groan) make brownies BEFORE church and if I remember, then I will try to get some pictures of me and some church friends on here.

G'night!!

Children are an heritage of the Lord

Ok I couldnt resist. I heard a noise coming from my stepson's room. This is what I found:

Apparently his mattress was hungry.

What a Morning!

Ok well I woke up this morning and remembered in time that I had to take Trent to school. I walked upstairs to the kitchen and I was greeted by a world of white on the other side of my kitchen window. Hurrying to the front door, I saw this:

Please forgive the ball of light on the upper right corner. That is the camera flash.

I dont like the snow. In fact, I hate it. Its cold, its wet, but its so pretty when its fresh! I have always wondered how every single snowflake can be different but that is how God is. He created each individual snowflake to be different! Can you believe that just two days ago we had a heat wave of 40 degrees?

Trent and I made it to his school with 5 minutes to spare (thats a record for me!) and we even beat his teacher and his classmates to the school.

On another note, I finally got to see my wonderful husband yesterday. He came home from a busy day at work and he brought me some flowers for valentines day. He pointed out that there are three roses in the vase, one for valentines, one for my birthday, and one for our anniversary. I felt so special!! Here is a picture of those gorgeous flowers, as if you werent able to guess that yourself.

My friend Jennifer had a nice surprise as well. Her boyfriend, Brandon gave her a rose and a teddy bear. The bear also had a silver locket around its neck. I kept telling her not to worry about if she will get anything from him or not...of course, I already knew because he told me :-D

I forgot to mention the gorgeous view of the Colorado National Monument when I dropped Trent off at school. Our church has a beautiful view and I couldnt resist taking a few shots of how pretty the monument looked. It always make me think of the verse in Psalms 19:1

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork."

Isnt that view just beautiful? By the way, if you have never been to Colorado, you may want to consider it for a family vacation. You can hike this monument and the view from up top is breathtaking!

Please forgive me for not having many pictures up here of Michael and Trent. I Do need to add some so I will work on that this week. Bear in mind that I am usually the one taking pictures so this weekend I will try to get some of me taken...time to learn how to use the timer on the camera!!!

Well time to go for now but I promise I will post later!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Well I woke up this morning feeling a little down because I havent seen my husband for a few days. Yes he has been home but I havent seen him. I am serious. I havent. My husband is blessed with a great job at McDonalds. Wait. It gets better. He just doesnt work at McD's, he is the store manager. See? Better than you would have expected. Well a couple times a year they have what is known as an FOR or Full Operations Review. Well yesterday he had his FOR for lunch and dinner and this morning was for breakfast. Michael has been so busy all week getting ready for this event that he has been at work late. I worked Tuesday night and Wednesday night and didnt get to see him. (its kinda hard to see in the dark. better eat more carrots blech!) Well I havent seen him since Monday night. I know its not his fault at all. I will just have to be thankful that the Lord gave me a wonderful husband who does do much for his family. What a great God we serve!

I was reading in Proverbs chapter 14 today and I found an awesome verse that pertains to my husband. You see, Michael never gets angry. I have yet to see him angry. This verse is Proverbs 14:29, " He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly." Lord, thank You so much for giving me the husband that you did.

Well soon I will be off to my biology class. I am learning alot about the cell and ribosomes and all that fun stuff with it. So ta ta for now!!!!

Philippians 3:13,14

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Wow! What a great verse! I was thinking of this verse today and I am so thankful that we can look forward and forget the past.

Here is what I want all of you readers out there to do:
forget anything I ever said before the date of February 13th, 2008. I want to focus on what is ahead of me not on what is behind. I may have lost my baby, but I have faith in knowing that God has something much better in store for me. I am so blessed to have faith in God, who not only loves and cares for me, but has given me the great gift of salvation.

As for the future, Michael and I are going to try to have another baby. Yes I said another. We dont know when we will but I trust that the Lord has a baby out there for me and I just have to wait till it is His time. I know it will happen.

Keep checking back as I plan to add pictures with the help of my dear sister and our communication provided by msn messenger. See you all next time!!

New year New me!

Ok I am doing much better since I was last on her, and I am proud to say that I am alot happier than I was before. I will admit that I was under a deep depression but thankfully there are alot of people out there who care about me and all I had to do was ask for help. A few weeks ago I got the courage to go back to church. It was hard and I found out a few things that made me go deeper. I finally emailed Betty, who is a deacons wife, and she gave me some verses out of Isaiah that really helped me. When I read the verses in Isaiah 55:8,9 I felt something. It was like a hand on my shoulder, and that is when I felt the Lord telling me that He knows. Not just He knows how I feel or just knows everything, but that He has been there and He knows. It wasnt right of me to blame Him and I have gone to Him and confessed my sin on that. He has taken any hurt that I have towards him away!
Now when I think of my baby, I can smile knowing that he is in the hands of the One who loves him the most.

I have to get going now so that I can go to my college classes but I will write some more later. My heart goes out to the Misty Stone and if you are reading this, you know who you are. Please know that I am praying for you.
